After Moscow the show became so large it opened simultaneously in 2 galleries on West Broadway and went on to travel to Museums and galleries in Europe and the US with remarkable press.

“Pools” made me interested in curating.  Ideas can make waves.  Auction houses were posting astronomical sales. Artists cultivate unique signature looks in their work which then becomes a logo to be soon exploited by the art world.  “Art=Money?” was born in order to explore that dynamic.  Jeff Koons, Arman, Larry Rivers became part of a travelling exhibit.  This idea inspired the Smithsonian “In the Realm of the Coin” in which my work was invited and travelled to 17 Museums around the US and Canada.

Komar and Melamid, two Russian artists in New York were trying to salvage Soviet monuments from destruction. I was invited by them to propose a re-invention of some Lenin and Marx monuments and join an exhibition which travelled to Moscow and various Museums around the world.

However, during an exhibition of my work at the Norton Museum in Palm Beach a new opportunity presented itself….
